Task: Design and draw a colorful map of your region.

Materials:

Oaktag

Colored Pencils

Your map must include the following information:

ü  Title: Name of state

ü  Outline of state borders

ü  Major bodies of water (rivers, lakes, oceans) labeled with name

ü  Major landforms (mountains, plains, deserts) labeled with name

ü  Approximate location of capital city, labeled by name

ü  Brief description (6 to 10 typed sentences) attached to the bottom right corner, including the latitude and longitude ranges of the state and a description of its unique aspects
