Pick your line
Pick a latitude line across the USA (approximately 29 to 45 N)
2.
Pick locations
Use
Google Maps to find
four locations on your chosen latitude line. Only one team member
needs to do this. Collaborate your map with your partner.

3. Buzz
Buzz
about your latitude line and locations as you choose them.
4.
Add locations to map
Create a new map in My Maps.
Name it latitude line___ with your name. Add your four locations, one in each time zone (Eastern, Central,
Mountain, and Pacific)
TIP: Remember that
the longitude lines run from about -70 to about -125 W in the USA.
5.
Research
Divide the work
with your partner. Each team member will save one of these
files to My documents/grade 6 files . Fill
in the information on the sheet, using Google Maps and the web sources
listed on the sheet to gather the information.

6. Add
descriptions to map
After I
have all of my data, what do I do with it?
Enter all the
information you gathered into the description of each location in
your Google Maps. You will need to use this information for your
brochure.
7. Publish your
work
create a three fold brochure for your latitude line. We will set
it up in class together.
